Community League Memberships -

Urgent Community League Membership Update

MEMBERS NEEDED! WE NEED YOUR URGENT SUPPORT. The Community League is in a serious funding crunch. We have only met 1/2 of our membership sale goals. This puts the Community League budget in a serious deficit situation as almost half of our operating budget comes from membership sales. We require a minimum of an additional 200 memberships sold by the end of January in order to meet budget demands. Failure to meet this goal could result in the early closure of the skating rink as well as put other Community League events such as the summer playground program in jeopardy due to this financial shortage.

The 2008/09 Lewis Estates Community League Membership Drive is currently underway!

Fees are due to increase from $25 to $30 after the AGM on Sept. 15 so get yours early!

You can get your memberships three ways:

  1. In person: Aug. 20 BBQ, Sept 15 AGM, Indoor Soccer Registration, door-to-door canvassers in your neighbourhood, or by contacting a board member from the contact list.
  2. By mail: Download membership form and send complete with cheque.
  3. Online via PayPal

Help Build Meadowlands a Park !
Casino Volunteers Wanted!

We need to raise some funds to move forward with development in the Meadowlands park area. If you are anxious to see something happen with that big empty field, we ask that you consider donating your time to work our league’s upcoming casino. This fundraiser usually nets us around $60,000 which can be used to obtain matching grants.

November 20th and 21st at the Palace Casino in WEM

Different shifts available throughout the day & evening. Various positions to fill which are both easy and fun. Contact Rob at 780-483-4798 or Brandy at 780-454-7267 or bluedema@hotmail.com.
